Masquerade 1 cont’d

As I fly by the seat of my pants on this one, I’m sort of making it up as I go along.  I decided that with her green eyes I would carry that colour scheme throughout the piece with the emerald on her mask and the green cowl.  The feathers will be black with highlights of green.  To achieve the luminous green on the cowl I started with FC Light Green and Leaf Green, then a layer of Chrome Oxide Green Fiery to achieve the subtle turquoise shading and then some shadow work with black.  I’ve given the lips the Scarlet red treatment but I’ll bump that up a bit yet.  The facial tones are pretty much done other than the deepening of some of the shadows once the piece is nearly complete.  I put in about four hours or so today.
